A letter from a long lost love

my heart was beating fast

For just a moment time stood still

and I was in my past...

I felt my spirit young again

my thoughts were strong and clear

The pains and struggles that I know

I felt them disappear...

The words spoke softly to my heart

and tears began to fall

The issues that divided us 

weren't mentioned there at all...

I feel the embers of a fire

that burned so long ago

Oh can there be another chance

to bask within it's glow?...
