Remembering

I spent the day remembering

some time to reminisce

A chance to think of many friends

and those I sorely miss..

One by one they reappeared

a smile upon their face

Bringing precious memories

another time and place...

They gathered near and touched my heart 

and shared with me once more

The love we knew and shared back then

lives on just like before...

Spring

The old oak tree, its leaves are green

our Spring is finally here

Azalea blossoms pink and white 

and roses soon appear...

Finches playing in the bath

they splash and off they go

Hummingbirds arrive to drink

they're darting to and fro...

The fruit tree buds begin to form

and apples soon will grow

The garden sprouts embrace the sun

oh, what a wonderous show...

A sign for those with eyes to see

at just the perfect time

Reminding me of what it cost

the cross, his life, for mine... 

The everlasting covenant

the greatest gift of all

He paid the price for you and me

redeemed us from the fall...
