upon her skin so fair

Her scent delights and captivates

A princess from another world

Everything within me yearns

to be with her tonight...

Victory Bridge

A winding bridge of days gone by

a generation served

So aptly named the Victory Bridge

her presence still preserved

The trees give comfort from the sun

and weeds adorn her rails

Warning signs displayed for all

they hang by rusty nails

Today she sits alone and still

in silence she awaits

In time we know they'll come for her

and what will be her fate...

Spring

The old oak tree is full of leaves

all covered up in green

Another winter's come and gone

the worst we've ever seen...

I never thought that Spring would come

it seemed to come and go

When all the flowers tried to bloom

we had another snow...

But then one morning something changed

could hear my wind chimes ring

I turned around to hear the sounds

as birds began to sing...

Another anxious day for me

she slowly slips away

she doesn't know my name

So angry and in deep dispair

I don't know who to blame...

I wish that I could speak with her

just like I did for years

But lately all I do is cry

my pillow's full of tears...

Tomorrow will be Mother's Day

I'll sit and hold her hands

Will tell her that I cherish her

and hope she understands...
