So many chapters in the book
they each describe my life
The glory of my childhood days
the victories and the strife...
Some describe my hopes and dreams
while others speak of pain
Times when choices weren't the best
regrets that left a stain...
Hidden in between them all
are secrets just for me
Sacred truths I cannot speak
that I alone can see...
I sometimes think what might have been
and where that I'd be now
If I had walked a different path
escaped my fate somehow...
