Final Glance

Another year has just have arrived

the old one turns away

I watched her take a final glance

as if she wished to stay...

I wonder where she now will go

to whom she'll soon appear

I must admit I'm glad she's gone

that she's no longer here...

I hope the change that this year brings

will smile upon us all

And when at last she has to go

her joys we'll long recall...
