Afraid

Been looking at the telephone

and wondering should I call

So much I want to say to her

afraid I'll lose it all...

I think about her day and night

I speak of her in rhyme

Is there a chance for both of us

or am I out of  line?...

Is all of this a fantasy

created in my mind?

A teetering relationship

that soon will all unwind?...

I've got to know for sure right now
I'll dial her up and see
I hear her voice within my ear
hello my love, it's me...
