A scene that I can look upon

a joy that I might find...

Cause my heart to smile again

bring back a memory

Stir the embers of a fire

that once burned bright in me...

Write of secrets no one knows

except for me alone

Things that I cannot express

of pleasures I have known...

The heartstrings tugging once again

I thought of you today

A memory stopped to say hello

decided it would stay...

All day long I've been detached

my friends say you ok?

I can't let go of how I feel

I'm struggling hard today...

A part of me says go ahead

be bold and risk it all

And yet another voice within

"be careful you don't fall"..

The battle rages on and on

my mind and heart at war

I'm standing at the fork again

and this time, I want more...
