Face to Face

I still can’t see your lovely face

the timing’s just not right

Somehow…someway…when face to face

I’ll dance with you that night…

 

I’ve lived alone for many years

had given up on life

I held on to my memories

of pain and dreadful strife…

 

But something new has come alive

old chapters I have closed

There’s someone new that I must meet

my future then disclosed…

 

I've seen you in a hundred dreams

albeit from afar

I never could draw close to you

my past, a wrecking bar…’

 

I feel you looking for me now

that you are on the way

Another chapter in the book

will start for me that day…
