Startled by the voice I hear

a message on the phone

It's been a long and lonely year

and yes, I'm still alone...

I'll be in town tomorrow night

would love to speak with you

Perhaps a quiet place to meet

a glass of wine or two...

I've thought about you every day

replayed our last goodbyes

At night I see you in my dreams
