Ocean

There is a peace that greets me here

I've walked this shore for years

At times when I've been overwhelmed

you always calmed my fears...

The ever soothing rhythmic sounds

and waves that brush the shore

The breeze that blows upon my face

and colors I adore...

You never fail to speak to me

in ways I understand

I leave with you the tears I shed

and footsteps in the sand...
