Visit Home

A weekend full of memories

a precious visit home

Could almost hear a voice or two

"How long will you still roam?"

The high school looks the same to me

but no one goes there now

In silence there, she waits and hopes

they'll all come back somehow...

The Teen Club where we all would meet

has closed and locked the door

The pretty girls we loved so much

don't dance there anymore...

The lake still draws me to its shore

a mystery still to me

How I loved to be there then 

when we were young and free...

Somehow I sense the friends I knew

they gather sometimes here

Oh wouldn't it be wonderful

if they would all appear...
